Alright, alright, I know that I have been slow to add anything to this blog, and I apologize for that.  As you are aware, the house is a pretty big renovation job, one that has taken a considerable amount of time and effort, which has been the primary cause for my delay.  So here is a new addition to the list, after 2 months of afternoon and weekend projects.  And many beers.  Enjoy the tour.

This is a blog that will hopefully chronicle the transformation of our new home in Salisbury, NC.  The home was built in 1925 and is located in the Ellis Graded School Historic District of Salisbury.  If you don't know much about Salisbury, the city is one of the oldest in North Carolina, dating back before the United States became the United States.  In the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, a number of different home types were built throughout the city, and in the late twentieth century the city and state thought it would be wise to protect the heritage and culture that these homes have had through time.

Our home has been vacant for over a year, and the house has not had any remodeling done to it in at least 30 years.  That said, there is a lot of work to be done.  I plan to post pictures as well as commentary about the progress.  Stay tuned!
